Super Grover Replica Puppet Build
Replica Builds, Sesame StreetThis is a quick image guide on how I built my Super Grover accessories. To first build your own Grover, you can follow my build here. I tried to provide a lot of pictures for you to give you ideas on how you can create your own accessories for your Grover. Enjoy and feel free to ask me anything.
Designed lightning bolt and “G” on Cricut.

Used colored foam sheets for the design and let the Cricut cut it out.

Glued together and made a hole at the top for it to hang.

For the knight helmet I purchased a template here. This template is designed to be built with cardboard, but I used 1/2″ foam for the helmet and thin plastic for the visor. This template gives you the ability to create a small, medium, or large version. I ended up doing the large version for the helmet and small version for the visor. I should of probably did the small or medium template for the helmet as I ended up trimming up the helmet a lot. The best sizing for you will all depend on the size of your puppet’s head. I cut out all the patterns for the helmet from the 1/2″ foam.

I then used contact cement to glue all the pieces together.

I used the Cricut to cut out the visor piece to get perfect cuts out of the thin plastic. I gave it a quick sand after it was all cut out.

I then painted everything with a silver metallic paint + primer.

I glued in black velvet fabric on the inside of helmet for styling. I used doll joints to fasten the visor to the helmet. I also glued on some red faux fur to the top of the helmet to give it that traditional knight helmet look.

I started cutting out the fabric for the red cape. I sewed in yellow rope for the neck line to be able to tighten it around the neck. I also added spots for the rope to thread around both sides to be able to tie it to the wrist of each arm.

Now it was time to put it all together and see how it looks!
